Martha O. Haynie is a 1973 honor graduate of the University of West Florida,
with a degree in accounting. She's a Florida CPA with a work background
which includes Walt Disney World, Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young),
her own CPA practice, and 3 years as Finance Director of the Florida
Symphony Orchestra. She was elected County Comptroller in 1988 and
has held the office since. Haynie is a frequent speaker to a wide
variety of groups, which run the gamut from the Southeastern Governmental
Audit Forum, to local Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs, to the Holt School's
Women's Leadership Group, to elementary, middle, and high school
classrooms learning about government. Martha has two sons, Cary and Scott. |
