As Recorder, the County Comptroller records, creates an index,
and archives all of the documents that create the Official Records
of Orange County. These documents include, but are not limited
to: Deeds, Mortgages, Satisfactions, Claims of Lien, Final Judgments
and Orders, Notices of Commencement, and Declarations of Domicile.
At the present time, document images are viewable on this web site, when not prohibited by law, from January 1, 1970, to the present. This is as far back as online images currently extend. Index data currently goes back to 8/1955. If you want to see documents images before 1970, you will need to visit the Official Records Research Center located at 109 E. Church St. Suite 300 in downtown Orlando.
In addition to recording these legal documents, the County Comptroller’s Office collects money for documentary stamp taxes, intangible taxes, recording fees, and other miscellaneous fees.
